GRACE — HAVE GRACE FOR OTHERS — HAVE GRACE FOR YOURSELF
I chose GRACE to be my word for 2021. Based off of what i was going through last year and how i was feeling personally, the word GRACE felt right to focus on. There are sooo many aspects of our lives where we can incorporate more GRACE. We can have GRACE for others in circumstances & GRACE for ourselves when it comes to things we put a lot of pressure on ourselves for.
With my word being GRACE for 2021, i’ve noticed how often my devotions and my Bible mention the word. My Pinterest has been filled with quotes on GRACE. It’s been an automatic word that stands out to me in bold. I wanted to include some great verses that specifically touch on God’s GRACE
2 Timothy 1:9 He has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace
Ephesians 2:8-9 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast
2 Peter 1:2 Grace and peace be yours in abundance through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord
Hebrews 4:16 Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need
1 Peter 4:10 Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms
James 4:6 But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says: “God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble.”
Titus 2:11 For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people
Romans 6:14 For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace
